Week beginning 13^th November 2017.

In Maths this week, we are learning to use solve multiplication and division problems.

In English, we will write film reviews based on the film Trolls which the children will watch this week.

In Science, we will start our new topic Light and Shadows.

In History, we will investigate the Bronze age.

Important dates

Monday 13^th November 2017 Trip to Grants Cinema the children will be back to school on time for lunch.

Friday 8^th December 2017 Trip to watch a Pantomime Show at Waddon Leisure Centre.

Thank you for your donations for the Harvest festival. We will continue to take donations for Operation Christmas Child until 15^th November 2017.

Week beginning 6^th November 2017.

The children settled in well during the first week of the second half of the Autumn term. Sophia and Joseph received merits for improvement in reading and participation and enthusiasm in class respectively.

In Maths, the children will learn to use multiplication and division facts of 3, 4 and 8 timestable.

In English, we will plan a story board about a film and learn how to write to film review.

In Science, we will investigate the strength of different magnets.

In PE, we will cover Gymnastics and Core skills.

In PHSE, we will learn about antibullying.

Please encourage your child to read every day and to complete a detailed book review.

Other news.

The children will be going on a trip to Vue Grants Cinema, Croydon on 13^th November 2017.

In preparation for Harvest festival the children received letters last week with details of food items that can be donated.
