Welcome to the new academic year. We would like to welcome you and your child to Year 3.

Week Beginning 5th October

It has been lovely to see children’s homework submitted on the site. Remote learning is available for any child who needs to self isolate.[/dropshadowbox]

This week our learning will be as follows;

  • In English we continue our learning based on Noah Barleywater Runs Away. This week we will be exploring character and doing some writing based on the anti-bullying themes of the book.
  • In mathematics we will be adding three digit numbers and tens and three digit numbers and hundreds.
  • In science we will be investigating magnet strength.
  • In history we will learn about Stonehenge.
  • In RE we will learn about Hindu worship at the Mandir.
  • In PE we will continue to develop our skills in football on Tuesday and boxercise on Thursday.  Children should come to school in PE kit on those days.

This week our learning will be as follows;

  • In English we will continue with our work based on Noah Barleywater runs away. We will rehearse and create a drama based on Noah’s entry to the toy shop.
  • In mathematics we are learning to add three digit numbers and ones, tens, and hundreds.
  • In science we will investigate which materials are magnetic.
  • In history we will learn about the Stone Age settlement at Skara Brae.
  • In RE we will will learn what Hindus believe about God.

Login details are stuck in the children’s homework diaries and the children have been given a demonstration of how to log in. Children attending school should complete the homework section only.
