Science

Our Science topic this term is Animals including Humans. We will be looking at the human body and finding about the skeleton and muscles in our body. Our first lesson is looking at a balanced diet and the different food groups we need in our diet.

Please watch the following video to find out about the different food groups: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zytjmp3

Then go through the following PowerPoint to find out more information: Keeping Healthy

Activity: Design your own healthy meal. Think about the different food groups, and how much of your plate each food group should take up. You can use the template below to help, or create your own. You may also want to be creative and create a model of your meal using things from around the house – there are some ideas of what you could use here – Keeping Healthy Task powerpoint

You may also want to cook your healthy meal and have it for dinner one evening – we would love to see pictures!
