Welcome to the new academic year. We would like to welcome you and your child to Year 3.

This week our learning will be as follows;
- In mathematics we will learn to order numbers to 1000 and to identify, represent and estimate numbers.
- In English and geography we will write non-chronological reports on volcanoes. We will then present these as information leaflets.
- In Science we will learn how fossils are formed.
- In RE we will learn why Sikhs believe it is important to care for our world. We will also consider why some people choose to become vegetarian or vegan.

Blackfriars Bridge Class are looking forward to doing this activity next week.[/dropshadowbox]
This week our learning will be as follows;
- In mathematics we will measure length. We will also learn to compare, add and subtract length.
- In English we will complete our own version of Magic Dogs of the Volcanoes. We will then begin a new unit on non-chronological reports.
- In science we will learn how igneous and metamorphic rocks are formed.
- In art, DT and geography we will begin to make working papier-mâché volcanoes.
