Welcome to the new academic year. We would like to welcome you and your child to Year 3.

This week our learning will be as follows;
- In mathematics we will work on addition and subtraction. We will use mental methods to add 1s, 10s and 100s to 3 digit numbers and then move on to using column addition/subtraction and solving problems using money.
- In English we will write our own version of Dream Big by Deloris Jordan. We will make our own dreams the focus of the story.
- In science we will learn how to carry out a health check on another person.
- In topic time we will make our own nut free muesli using our recipes that we have developed.

The children have settled back into school really well after their half term break. This week our learning will be as follows;
- In mathematics we will work on statistics. We will create tally charts, bar charts, diagrams and tables. We will also answer one and two step questions based on data presented.
- In English we will plan and write our own version of Dream Big by Deloris Jordan. We will make our own dreams the focus of the story.
- In science we will learn how to carry out a health check on another person.
- In topic time we will plan and make our own nut free muesli.
