Welcome to the new academic year. We would like to welcome you and your child to Year 3.

This week:
- In Maths we are starting a new unit on addition and subtraction. We will begin looking at a range of representations to add and subtract 1s, 10s, and 100s from 3 digit numbers.
- In English we will finish re-writing the Stone Age Boy in our own words. We will then go on to begin creating our own characters to write our own version of the Stone Age Boy.
- In Science we are looking at magnetism and investigating whether different materials are magnetic or not.
- In R.E we will learn how Hindus worship at the Mandir.
- P.E – our P.E lessons are currently on Tuesday and Friday afternoon please ensure your child has their P.E kits.
This week we will learn:
- In Maths we will continue our unit on place value – ordering and comparing three digit numbers and writing numbers in numerals and words.
- In English we will re-tell the Stone Age Boy in our own words by creating storyboards before re-writing the story.
- In Science we are investigating friction and what materials have the most amount of friction.
- In R.E we will learn about Hindus beliefs in God.
