Week beginning 16^th April 2018.

Welcome to the first half of the Summer term. We trust you all had a good Easter break.

In Maths this week, we will learn about measure with special focus on telling the time.

In English, we will learn about different types of poems.

Our Topic this term is the Romans and the children took some letters home at the end of term about some activities we have planned around this topic.

Other information.

Please encourage your child to learn their multiplication facts of 3,4 and 8.

Encourage your child to keep a glossary of the new words they come across and to use a dictionary to find out what they mean.

Week beginning 26^th March 2018.

This is the last week of the Spring term.

In Maths this week, we will learn to add and subtract fractions that have the same denominator.

In English, we will write a newspaper article based on the Easter story.

In RE, we will learn about the events leading up to Easter.

We are grateful to the Friends of Howard for the new books donated to the school and look forward to reading them.

Other information.

On Monday, 26^th March 2018 we will have a night owl experience in the main hall.

Well done to all the children who attained certificates in Mathletics, Spellodrome and Teach your monster to read. Please encourage your child to use the online resources.

If your child is not able to access any of these resources, please use the green diary to inform us.
