Thursday 1st March is World Book. Please encourage your child to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Don’t forget to send a copy of their favourite book too. Please send a donation of £1.

SPRING TERM 2 TOPIC: Traditional Tales
LITERACY:
Book Focus: The Gingerbreadman Man
The children really enjoyed making gingerbread cookies last week. This week we will explore alternate endings for this popular traditional tale.
MATHS:
This week we will focus on the language of addition, writing and interpreting number sentences eg 2 +1 = 3, exploring the concept of 2 parts making a whole.
UW: This week we will be discussing people in the health services who help us eg nurses, doctors, dentists, etc [/dropshadowbox]

My Favourite Traditional Tale
A traditional tale is a story that has been told for many years which parents and grandparents would have read about when they were very young too. Which is your favourite traditional tale? Can you draw a picture of your favourite traditional tale? Ask your adult to help you write a sentence about it.
