Reading books are issued by Phonics group teachers. The children have been issued with decodable books that allow them to practise their phonics learning and to support their reading development. It is important that reading books and yellow diaries are kept in their bookbags every day so Phonics group teachers can change their books. These are the days on which each group will change books :

Mrs Begum’s Group: every Friday

Miss Pillay & Miss Crook’s Group: Sound Blending books are changed every Friday

Mrs Nair’s Group: Sound Blending books are changed every Friday and a new Ditty sheet is sent home every day for extra practise. This group will soon be progressing onto Red Ditty Books.

Miss Thompson’s Group: Red Ditty Book Bag Books are changed every Tuesday and Friday

Mrs Keer’s Group: Green Storybook Book Bag Books are changed every 3 days to match the Green Storybook taught in Phonics lesson. This week Mrs Keer will change books on Tuesday and Friday.  Please keep your child’s books in their bag every day as the books will be changed on a different day each week due to the 3 day plan for this group
