Odd Socks Day
Your child may wear an odd pair of socks to school on Monday 16th November to raise awareness for Anti Bullying Week. The brighter and more colourful, the better!
It’s an opportunity for the children at Howard Primary to express themselves, celebrate what makes them unique and have fun.

Thank you to all parents who have signed up to Google Classroom and submitted your child’s homework. We have noticed that many of you prefer to submit homework via Google Classroom, not Tapestry. If this is more convenient for you, please continue to submit homework to Google Classroom only.
You may continue to use Tapestry for recording any significant observations you make of your child’s development at home. We really enjoy reading and seeing their significant moments from home. So, please continue sending these in.
We would also like to thank all parents for helping us by wearing a face covering when you drop-off or pick-up your child from Reception.
Kind Regards, Reception Team [/dropshadowbox]

We would like to thank you for following the revised entry and exit times as this has really helped to extend the learning time for our Reception classes. Teaching now begins promptly at 9.20 once all children are in. So, please ensure your child is in school by this time.
Please note that Monday, 9th November is an INSET Day for staff. The children will return to school on Tuesday 10th November at their usual start times.
We have noticed that many of you have not yet signed up to Google Classroom. If you have been experiencing any technical problems with setting this up, please contact Miss Pillay at reception@howard.croydon.sch.uk. Also, there are a few more parents who need to sign up to Tapestry. Please contact us, so we can assist with getting you connected.
The first homework for Reception classes was posted on Google Classroom on Friday 6th November. Well done to the children who have already submitted their homework. For those who have not yet seen the homework, please sign into your Google Classroom account and submit the homework via Tapestry. Reception homework will be posted every Friday to be completed by the following Wednesday at the latest. Reception homework usually involves fun practical tasks which you can do together as a family. Photos of tasks can be posted on Tapestry, so these can be added to your child’s learning journal.
Kind Regards,
Reception Team
