The children have had a lovely first week with us. They have taken well to the routines introduced. Some have enjoyed meeting old friends from nursery, while others are beginning to initiate new friendships. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow with each new day. During their first week at school, the children have made their own coat peg labels and now know where to hang up their coats.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during the first of our two-week staggered entry programme, which is aimed at ensuring your child makes a smooth transition from Nursery to Reception. If you have a quick question, please ask us when you drop off your child. If you require more time to talk to us, please email us at reception@howard.croydon.sch.uk
We wish you well for your second week with us. Please keep to the same allocated morning or afternoon session as last week. Please take note of the different start and end times for Week 2. There is a short turn around time between the two sessions. So, we kindly request that you arrive on time to pick up your child at the end of a session.
If you find yourself in a queue behind parents of Year1-6 children, please let a member of staff at the gate know that you are a Reception parent and they will allow you access to the Reception classes.
Your contact details will soon be added to our school text and email service. So, you should soon start to receive regular updates via text or email from the school. To keep updated, please let us know if your mobile number or email address changes.
If you have not yet returned the paperwork from your Welcome pack, please bring this in as soon as you can.
Kind Regards
The Reception Team
