Well done to all the children for their fantastic efforts with our Virtual Sports Week last week. It was lovely seeing the innovative ways in which you created challenges for the children.

We look forward to seeing all the children again in the coming week’s Zoom sessions all about similarities and differences. Please check your Class Dojo messages, emails and texts for messages from class teachers for the week ahead. If you miss a session, please contact us so we can re-schedule for a different day. If you need to get in touch with your child’s class teacher, please send them a message on Class Dojo messages on your parent screen.

Our theme this week is all about Plants: growing plants, flowering plants and the similarities and differences between plants and animals

Kind Regards,

The Reception Team. [/dropshadowbox]

[dropshadowbox align=”none” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#f8d168″ border_width=”1″ border_color=”#dddddd” ]Dear Parent, carers

We have been delighted with how successful our first week of zoom meetings have gone and how lovely it has been to see the children and their adults after such a long time. Everyone looks very well and the children all look so happy. Thank you for taking the time to join us, we are looking forward to this coming week’s meetings.

Last week we introduced mini story writing and have been super impressed with the children’s efforts so far. The children have used their imaginations to create some fascinating stories. Use the videos below to remind the children to use capital letters and adjectives…..at  school we say that ‘an adjective helps to make a sentence more interesting’.

Our maths focus this week will be about money, the coins we use and what money is for. We will include some simple addition problems involving money.

“The Oceans” is our theme for this week. Please use the links below with class dojo activities to broaden the children’s knowledge.

This week at Howard Primary it is virtual sports week so please check the class dojo to see how you can be involved.

Thank you

The Reception Team.
