Keep practising your letter sounds.
- Watch this short video to help your child with sound pronunciation
- Once you know the correct pronunciation, try turning the sound off and saying each sound
- Say a sound to your child, ask them to write the grapheme (corresponding letter)
Tricky words
Tricky words are those words which may not be decodable yet as children learn the complex alphabetic codes
- Listen to video, sing along
- Turn off the sound and try to read the words
- Say the word to your child, ask them to write it from memory, look at video to check the spelling

We have been reading the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. At the end of the story the troll who lived under the bridge was never seen again. What do you think happened to the troll? Where did he go? What did he do next? Why did he never come back to live under the bridge again? Draw a picture and write your own sentences about what you think happened to the troll
READING BOOKS: Please send in reading books and reading diaries on group days. Please note that if a book is lost, we kindly ask that you please replace the book with a similar book as our stock of books are dwindling
