Welcome to Hungerford Bridge Class.
Class teacher: Miss Agyemang
Teaching assistant: Ms Jones
I would like to apologise for not updating the blog last week! We have been very busy in Hungerford Class!
Our learning objectives for next week will be as follows:
Maths: we will be using dienes to help us to calculate. We will also be recapping telling the time to five minute intervals.
Literacy: we have been using the story Meerkat Mail as a stimulus for writing. It is about a meerkat who leaves home and sends his family postcards from lots of different places. Sonny the meerkat will be visiting Howard School this week and we will be sending his family postcards all about his visit!
SPaG- we will be looking at different prefixes we can add to root words e.g. un and auto.
Science- Our science topic this term is living things and their habitats. We will be looking at food chains and habitats.
Our new topic is ‘Hooray! Let’s Go On Holiday!’ which has lots of links with history, art, geography and PSHE.
PE: tennis (Miss Stroud) and basketball (Mr Govinden).
RE- we will be looking at Judaism in the summer term.
Celebrations and successes
I am sure that those of you who came along to the Year 2 Ministrings Concert agree that is was an excellent showcase of the skills both classes have gained. They have all worked very hard to learn their instruments and put on a great show!
