Welcome to Hungerford Bridge Class.
Class teacher: Miss Agyemang
Teaching assistant: Ms Jones
We hope those of you who got involved with ‘Healthy Living Week’ enjoyed it. Hungerford class have certainly enjoyed their daily ’10 minute mile’ and have seen how regular practice and exercise can help to make us fitter and healthier. You might have also heard that we made some delicious muesli! We still have lots of activities left to do this week due to time constraints.
Our learning objectives for next week will be as follows:
Maths: we will be recapping fractions of amounts and using our knowledge of quarters, thirds and halves to problem solve.
Literacy: we will be using the story Oliver’s Vegetables as a stimulus for writing. This has strong links with healthy living.
SPaG- we will be recapping how to use apostrophes for possession and when not to use them.
Science- Our science topic this term is living things and their habitats. We will be continuing to look at how the human body works and the ways in which animals adapt to their surroundings.
Our new topic is ‘Hooray! Let’s Go On Holiday!’ which has lots of links with history, art, geography and PSHE.
PE: depending on the weather we will be doing tennis (indoors) or rounders (outdoors).
RE- we will be looking at Judaism in the summer term.
Music- Year 2 will continue to have ministrings on Friday afternoons. Please remember to collect your child from the dining hall on this day.
