On Tuesday 4th July, Howard went up against Minister in a Netball Match. Minister had never played before in a netball match but a few children from Howard had done so previously. The tension was building up as Howard’s Coach [Miss Handley] blew the whistle for the first half of the game to begin. There were a few children in Year 6 and a few children in Year 5 in Howard’s team. The players were:
*Lucy [Yr6]
*Aarya [Yr6]
*Safia [Yr6]
*Emmie [Yr5]
*Yasti [Yr5]
*Layla [Yr5]
*Flo [Yr5]
*Adrijana [Yr5]
*Amrina [Yr5]
*Aarushi [Yr5]
Sadly, due to some accidents, Aarushi and Amrina could not play. That left us down to only 8 players but luckily we had a few players who could take their place. As a goal shooter, I thought that we, Howard, played exceptionally well even though we lost by 1 point. For our first game, that is excellent, wouldn’t you agree? The score was 4-3 so therefore, Howard lost. To congratulate the other team, we did three cheers for Minister and also told how well they played. Even though we lost, we got compliments on how we played by the Minister Coach. Even the players on the opposite team said we played very well. What a game it was!
