What are we learning this week?
Maths –
This week we will learn to:
Simplify fractions
Order fractions
Add fractions
English –
Edit and up level an existing diary entry. Then, we shall plan, write and edit a diary entry as ‘Peter’ from our core text, Pax by Sara Pennypacker.
Science –
We will be planning our investigation-
What affects the brightness of a bulb?
RE-
We will be looking at a story of the Monkey King (a story Siddhartha Gautama told once he became known as the Buddha).
PE
Children should come to school in their full PE kit with their Howard Primary School jumper on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
History
We shall be continuing to look at evacuation.
RHE
To name the main male and female internal and external
reproductive parts, using the correct terminology.
What are we learning this week?
Maths –
I can find common multiples, common factors, prime numbers, square and cubed numbers.
English –
We shall be continuing to build our descriptive vocabulary using the 5 senses and a variety of WW2 stimuli. We shall also identify and evaluate the key features of a diary.
Science –
We will be learning all about circuit symbols.
RE-
We shall be continuing to learn about the 4 Noble Truths.
PE
Children should come to school in their full PE kit with their Howard Primary School jumper on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
History
We shall be sharing our primary and secondary source homework and starting to look at evacuation.
RHE
We shall be discussing how our bodies change throughout puberty.
