It’s History week!

What are we learning this week?

English – 

This term, our English lessons will be based on the core text Rose Blanche, by Roberto Innocenti. Our learning objectives this week are:

  • L.O. To identify and use relative clauses accurately.
  • L.O. To use hot-seating to develop my understanding.
  • L.O. To take part in a debate.
  • L.O. To evaluate character development.
  • L.O. To write a diary entry.

This half term, our class read will be Holes, by Louis Sachar.

Maths – 

Lesson 1
LO: To multiply two numbers, where one is a multiple of 10, 100 or 1,000.
Lesson 2
LO: I can multiply two digit numbers by partitioning one of the factors and adding the products.
Lesson 3
LO: I understand that long multiplication is an algorithm involving multiplication.
Lesson 4
LO: To multiply numbers where one factor is a composite number.
Lesson 5
LO: I know that any two or three digit dividend can be divided by a two-digit divisor by skip counting.

 

History – 

Our topic for the next couple of weeks shall be Local History. Our learning objectives this week are:

  • L.O. To ask questions about the past.
  • L.O. To investigate places.

Weather permitting, we are hoping to take the year group out on a local history walk on Wednesday. If it rains, we shall rearrange for the next week.

Science – 

This week, we shall be learning about circuit symbols and predicting if circuits will work.

PE –
