Maths – We shall be looking a:
- Place value in 7-digit numbers (PV + and -, compare numbers)
- Add and subtract 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000 to/from 7-digit numbers
- Place 7-digit nos on number lines and round to the nearest 10,000, 100,000 or 1,000,000
- Calculate intervals across zero
English – We shall be writing our flashback stories, based on the clip ‘The Piano’ from The Literacy Shed.
Science – We shall be continuing our topic of Light. We shall be addressing misconceptions and looking at shadows.
PE – There is no swimming this week. Normal PE lessons return this Friday.
Reading – We shall be starting our new class text, Holes by Louis Sachar. This week, we shall be completing pre-reading comprehension tasks.

Class parties shall be held on Wednesday 18th December, in the afternoon. Your child should have brought home a letter asking for donations of food and drink. Please return the slip as soon as possible.
We break up at 3:30pm on Thursday 19th December 2019 and return to school on Monday 6th January.
