Maths – We shall be completing a brief ‘maths quiz’ to show our existing knowledge. We shall then be revising the key strategies that we can use to help us answer these questions.

English – We shall be writing an instruction text on ‘how to have the perfect summer holiday’. We shall also be writing a suspense story, independently, based on ideas that we gather from an engaging image. How exciting!

PSHE – We shall be learning how to identify different emotions and taking part in some role play activities to help us offer advice to our peers if they have a problem. As we are a Rights Respecting School, we shall be thinking about what rights we should include in our class charters.

Reading – We shall be starting our new class text, Goodnight Mister Tom. Set during WW2, we shall be answering some pre-reading questions and reading up to Chapter 1.

PE – A quick reminder that swimming sessions will resume on Tuesday 10th September. Please make sure the children bring their swimming kits. PE kits should be in school from Monday. PE days will be confirmed as soon as possible.
