Welcome all Year 6 parents and pupils.

What we are learning:

Maths-We will be continuing to develop our written methods and strategies to solve problems

Reading-We will be continuing to practice our retrieval and inferential skills.  We will also be continuing to read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Writing-We will be developing our knowledge on how to build tension when writing

PE-We will be continuing to participate in dance and boxercise

History-We will be continuing to edit our writing on The Blitz

MFL-We will be learning about conversational language

Computing-WE will be continuing to write coding for different programmes

Welcome back after the Easter holidays! I hope you all had a restful break and are now ready for the hard climb to the end of the year.

This term is jam packed with things going on, so make sure you keep checking the class blog to keep up-to-date!

This week we will be learning:

Maths-Revision of formal written methods for all 4 operations as well as problem solving strategies

English-We will be continuing to revise strategies ready for the Reading SAT.  We will also be starting to look at a new genre of writing as well as reading continuing to read ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’.

Science-WE will be continuing to look at forces

PE-We will developing our fitness skills as well as carrying out boxercise and dance

RE-We will be looking at the story of Easter from a Christian perspective
