Welcome all Year 6 parents and pupils.

  I am Miss Mayley, the Year 6 class teacher, and our TA is Mrs Thambiayah.

What will we be learning?

Maths-We will be learning how to find the perimeter of polygons

English-We will be writing our explanation about the heart

PSHE-We will be looking at keeping ourselves safe

PE-We will be participating in Boxercise and dance

RE-We will be learning about Buddhism

Spanish-We will be learning about conversational language in Spanish

 

Important Information

The last day of school is Friday 5th April.  There are then 2 weeks holiday.

We return to school on Tuesday 23rd April

Maths-We will be learning how to complete formal written multiplication and division

English-We will be learning how to write explanations based on our science work

Science-We will be learning about the heart

PSHE-We will be looking at an NSPCC topic around keeping children safe

PE-We will be taking part in pilates and dance lessons

History-We will be writing a non-chronological report on the Blitz

 

Important Information

The children will be taking part in a Cross Country event on Monday 25th March in the afternoon at Duppas Park

Friday 29th March-The children will be encouraged to ‘Wear a Hat’.  This will raise funds for a worthy charity that is close to the school’s heart-brain tumour research.
