Year 6 will be having a separate Parent’s Evening to the rest of the school.  This is so that we can focus on areas that need the greatest work before SATS as well as strengths within the subjects.  They will be on Thursday 8th February in the afternoon and Friday 9th February  as well as Tuesday 20th February after school.  If these times are not suitable, please let me know now and I can try to accommodate a different time.

Also look out for an exciting letter that should be coming out in the next few weeks about trips lined up fpr the children.  There are some amazing opportunities for them.

Thursday 1st February Year 6 will be running the assembly with a focus on the Holocaust and Anne Frank as it is Holocaust memorial day on 27th January.  The assembly will be at 9.15 so please come along if you can make it.

Reading at home

January 5, 2018

Your child should ideally be reading at home for a minimum of 30 mins now everyday.

Where possible, your child should also have an opportunity t read aloud to someone else at least twice a week.  The information below, gives you some examples of questions you may like to ask your child during their reading.
