We would like to warmly welcome you and your your child to Year1 at Howard Primary School and look forward to getting to know you during your year with us.

We understand that you will have many questions about the year ahead and we will be happy to respond to your queries once we meet each other on Monday, 6th September. We would like to assure you that the children will be learning in much the same way as they did during the summer term of Reception to support their transition into Year 1. We will also provide more detailed information about what to expect for your child in Year 1, in due course.  In the meantime, should you have any concerns, you may contact us via our Year 1 email address: year1@howard.croydon.sch.uk

Please check your emails for a letter from the school office with details for how your child will enter and exit school.  See below for a summary of arrangements, specific to Year 1 parents. If your child has a sibling in Reception, please note that arrangements for sibling drop off and pick up will come into effect after the Reception 2 week staggered entry. If your child’s siblings are in Years 2- 6, please refer to the email sent by the school office.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday 6th September and wish you a wonderful first week back to school.

Kind regards

Mrs Jeevahan and Miss Robinson
