Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you for keeping motivated and attending our live lessons and Merit Assembly last week as well as completing our Learning Challenges. It was wonderful to see so many of you. We look forward to seeing you all this week too.

Please find this week’s timetable below.

Handwriting, Phonics, English, Maths will be posted daily. Please do continue Reading using the Oxford Owls log in set up for your class. Kindly contact your class teacher if you experience any problems and we will assist you.

Daily story-time videos will be posted. Please take a few moments to watch and respond. We read with your children everyday in school and we want your child to continue having similar experiences.

We are posting all the foundation subject activities at the start of the week which should make it easier.  Please feel free to pick the foundation activities you and your child would like to do.  Don’t worry-there is no expectation to do them all, we just thought we would put a range up so you have the choice. Children can watch the videos and respond.

Year 1 Timetable 08.02.2021

Please check Google Classroom just before 9.45 every day for a link to the live lesson  and a Special Merit Assembly organised by Ms Handley on Thursday 11th, February at 11:00am.

Please try to post your completed activities before the end of each day so we can keep on track with commenting on your child’s efforts.

Thank you everyone for participating in our Mental Health & Well-being yoga challenges. Please continue the Yoga challenges . Ms Pollington is eagerly waiting for your photos and videos.

It will be posted on the Well-Being Blog as well as Google class stream.

Just to let you know that Friday  12th February is an INSET Day.

Wishing you a safe week ahead.

Kind Regards

Year 1 Team

This year we will be celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week from 1st Feb to 7th Feb 2021.

The theme for the week is: EXPRESS YOURSELF In school and online, we will be exploring what it means to express yourself and why it is an effective tool to maintain and improve good mental health. We will be using age-appropriate resources from Place2Be in class and online to raise awareness in children and adults.

On Tuesday 2nd February at 09:15 Miss Ancel will launch her 10 days Yoga challenge for all to take part in. You will soon be receiving a text with the zoom code so you can join us at the launch.

On Thursday 4th February, we would like all adults and children, both at school and at home, to DRESS TO EXPRESS! What will YOU wear? In the meantime why not have a look at Place2Be so you can explore this topic with your families?
