Our topic for this term is called ‘Let It Grow’ linked to our science curriculum about plants.
English
In English, we will be reading a new text called ‘Katie’s Picture Show’ by James Mayhew. Children will be describing the main character – Katie.
Maths
In Maths we will be looking multiplication with arrays.
Science
We will continue our learning about different plant and tree parts as well as naming and identifying flowering plants and trees in the local area. Children will be planning and writing a non-chronological report about ‘Spring’-animals, plants and trees, weather and clothes, length of day and any other facts.

Art
In Art we will be exploring making different shades of grey as well as identifying primary and secondary colours.
P.E
Children will continue developing their throwing and catching skills using a ball or a beanbag. They will practise bouncing, dribbling, rolling, under arm throws, over arm throws and catches using correct posture and skills.
PSHE
Our topic is called ‘Relationships’. Children will be talking about the people who are important to them and give reasons.Then we will be talking about our rights and responsibilities.
Music
We will continue to sing using our voices creatively and learn about rhythm and tempo.
R.E.
We will be continuing our learning about different religions focusing on basic principles of Hinduism.
Home work
Homework is sent home every Friday and should be promptly returned on Wednesday please. Homework is also set weekly related to the concepts children are learning.
*If your child attends an After school sports club and takes their P.E kit home, kindly return the P.E kit the next day. A lot of the children have been upset and disappointed as they have missed their P.E sessions as a result of not having kits.
* Bank holiday on Monday 7th May 2018. Children return on Tuesday 8th May.
Our school will be celebrating our 120th Anniversary in June.
