Writing
Our focus texts for this term is the Katie Picture Show series by James Mayhew. It has a special painting by a famous artist called Henri Rousseau – Surprised , Tiger in a Tropical Storm. Enjoy watching the author share the story.
Activity : Create your own story.
Think about your character- is it a boy or a girl ? Who will they go with to the Art Gallery. Can they jump into the painting called ‘ Surprised’ by Henri Rousseau. What fun adventures will your character have with the tiger? Will they rescue the tiger from a trap or will the tiger take them to a safe place to shelter from the heavy rain?
Plan and start writing your story. What will you call it?
Keep sharing on class dojo for us to enjoy!
