Week beginning 11th September
Welcome to the first full week of the new school year.
I hope you all had a restful summer.
Below is a weekly guide as to what your child will be learning in each lesson. They have a variety of teachers who will help them develop a range of skills in Year 6 so that they are fully prepared for their SATs in May and for Secondary school. If you have an questions, please don’t hesitate to come and speak to me either before or after school.
Maths-We will be reading and writing numbers up to 10,000,000
English-We will be starting to look at the book Holes by Louis Sachar as well as poetry with Mrs Pearce.
Science-We will be studying Light
P.E-The Year 6 will be starting swimming on Tuesday 19th September. Please remember swimming costumes and towels!
They will also be taking part in Basketball.
Topic-The topic for this term is World War 2. This will continue throughout the Autumn term.
R.E-We will be starting their work on Buddhism.
Computing-We will be learning how to create our own APP with Mr Govinden.
