English – write a postcard

Write two postcards from the seaside.

Postcard 1: imagine you’re a Victorian child visiting the seaside. Write a postcard to a friend talking about your holiday. Think about: how you got there, what you’ve done, how you’re dressed, where you are staying and the experiences you’ve had?

Postcard 2: write a postcard as if you’re visiting the seaside now. Think about: what is different now? What experiences have you had? How are you dressed? How did you get there? Where are you staying? What have you visited?

PHSE – thinking about how we are feeling

It’s been a tough few weeks and you’re all doing an amazing job at home. ♥

Our emotions can be all over the place; some days we’re happy but other days we might feel sad or anxious. We’re all allowed to have all these emotions.

Why don’t you play this game with your family? While you’re playing you can talk about times when you might have felt that emotion or if you’re feeling them now and why.

Game – t-t-253148-emotions-board-game_ver_9

Now that we’re coming to the end of the academic year it’s a good time to think about the future. We all have dreams of what we want to be or how we want people to be.

Have a go at thinking about your dreams and aspirations and complete this dream jar.

Lesson 5 – exercise

A healthy, balanced diet supports physical development, improves mood and keeps bugs at bay. Foods rich in vitamins and nutrients, like fruit, vegetables and whole grains, give children the fuel they need to develop both physically and mentally. Healthy eating also boosts our immune systems. As well a as healthy diet, exercise is important in keeping us healthy.

Exercise provides many benefits including

  • building strong bones and muscles
  • helping to achieve and maintain a healthy weight
  • improving balance and co-ordination skills
  • promoting social sills

Art – postcards

Design a postcard for a favourite holiday destination. You can use any media you like e.g. pens, pencils, paint, collage or a mixture.

Please do share your work with us on ClassDojo, we’d be glad to see it 🙂
