We would like to take this opportunity to wish you well for the upcoming end of term holiday season and to thank you for all your patience and understanding during this very challenging term.
We look forward to a wonderfully festive final week with the children. Here are some of the important dates to note for the week ahead:
- Monday 14th December: Children will bring home the Christmas cards delivered on Friday. Please DO NOT send in anymore cards. The deadline for sending cards was Friday 11th December.
- Tuesday 15th December: Children will watch an online pantomime in the afternoon
- Tuesday 15th December: Christmas lunch will be served as per your menu choices.
- Friday 18th December: Last day of term. Mufti day (The children may wear their own clothes to school. No school uniform and no donation required)
- Friday 18th December: Class celebration. Please DO NOT send in any food from home. Light snacks will be provided for the children
- Monday 4th January 2021: Children return to school for the start of Spring Term 1

AUTUMN TERM TOPIC: Autumn 2 -Light and Dark
Phonics: Monday– Friday: Review of all Set 1 single letter sounds and Word Time lessons focusing on oral blending. To learn strategies for segmenting sounds in words to spell 3 letter CVC words eg hat, pot, sit, bun
Maths Focus: To explore comparing quantities of identical and non-identical objects and finding one more or one less than a quantity within 5
EAD: To present a group festive musical performance
HOMEWORK: Please note that we do not set homework during holidays as we want you and the children to rest and enjoy the festive season. However, if you would like the children to practice some learning, please feel free to use the many video resources on Google Classroom under the following headings:
- Practice videos for children
- Remote learning: You do not have to submit any of the tasks, use the videos for the children to practice their learning.
