Week beginning 24th April 2017
This week we will be focusing on:
Maths– revising statistics – continuing with how to interpret information from a timetable. We shall then be moving on how to reflect and translate shapes accurately.
Reading- We shall be starting our new class read Skelling, by David Almond.
Writing- We shall be continuing with persuasive writing – We shall be looking at writing our speeches, based on our debate last week of whether school uniform should be banned or not!
PE – Please make sure your child has their full swimming kit (including swimming hats for girls) for Tuesday.
RE – We shall be looking our new topic of Judaism.
Music – Soundstart restarts this week – keep an eye out for letters, throughout the half term, regarding our end of year performance.
PSHE/DT – We shall be looking healthy living and what makes a ‘balanced diet’. We shall be making fruit kebabs and are asking each child to bring in at least one item of fruit.

Reading passport challenge – Every child in the school has been given an exciting reading passport to complete. There are exciting prizes to be won. Please encourage your child to take ownership of their passport and strive to complete as many tasks as possible.
