Week Beginning 24th September

In Waterloo Bridge Class this week our learning will be as follows;

In mathematics we will begin work on Addition and Subtraction. We will learn to add and subtract mentally from 3 digit numbers.
In English we will retell the story of Stone Age Boy in writing. We will use our story boards to help us include paragraphs and inverted commas.
In topic time we will look at learn about “Lucy” one of our oldest ancestors. We will record the similarities and differences between “Lucy” and ourselves.
In Science we will continue our learning on forces and magnets.
In PE we will focus on ball skills and keeping fit.
In RE we will be learning about the importance of Holy Books in Hinduism.

We continue to run our daily mile. Children need to make sure they have a water bottle in school each day. Everyone gets very thirsty! We are planning some learning experience to enrich our topic of Scavengers and Settlers. These include a Stone Age dress up day on Friday 13th October and a visit to Get Fired in Purley on Wednesday 13th October.
