Week beginning 6th March 2017
This week we will be focusing on:
Maths– we shall be continuing to learn about capacity and volume; converting between units of time; and revising our calculation strategies for multiplication and division.
Reading- We will be continuing with our class reading book – Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The children are thoroughly enjoying the book. We have been looking at the vocabulary in depth will be focusing on being able to skim read to answer questions. We shall be completing a reading comprehension test and looking
Writing- We shall be continuing with our narrative unit. This week we shall continue to write our adventure text We shall also be revisiting the expected grammar expectations for Year 5 encouraging the children to up level their writing.
PE – Please make sure your child has their full swimming kit (including swimming hats for girls) for Tuesday.
Science: Our last science lesson on changing states of materials with Mrs Adams.
