SPRING TERM 1

Book Focus: The Naughty Bus by Jan and Jerry Oke
The children will enjoy this delightful story about a little toy London bus which will stir their imagination as they explore their own ideas for where the bus could travel to next.

- Numeral recognition and formation using number formation rhymes
- Skills for counting reliably with 10
- Number facts for numbers within 10
TOPIC – Knowledge and Understanding of the World : This week we introduce our ‘Transport‘ topic and find out what the children already know about this topic and discuss different types of transport and the different ways children travel to and from school. [/dropshadowbox]

Well done to all the children who received certificates for completion of all homework last term.
New homework will be sent out on Friday.
READING BOOKS
Please continue to send in reading books and diaries on group days
WORD LISTS
The children will receive their first key word lists, Kangaroo words, this week. Please help your child to read these words and help them to learn the routine of placing their word list wallet in the green homework box when they are ready to be checked.
Word lists will mostly be checked on group days but if your child is ready to have their words check on any other day please leave them in the green box. Please note that during busy periods we may not be able to check all words on the same day.
