We would like to thank you for your resilience, dedication and commitment to keeping your children learning throughout this very challenging term. Well done for getting through to our final week of  term.

Thank you for engaging your child with all the fun activities to celebrate Children’ s Mental Health Week last week. Keep going with the Daily Yoga Challenge! Monday will be Day 6! Keep checking the Wellbeing Spot for more updates.

Please note that this will be a four day week of Remote learning and learning at school. Friday, 12th February is an INSET day for staff. We will not have a live lesson and Google Classroom tasks on Friday this week, nor during the half term break.

Remote learning will resume when the new term starts again on Monday 22nd February and will continue until we receive a confirmed date for the re-opening of school for all children. We will contact you as soon as we hear about a confirmed date.

Wishing you a fantastic final week of learning.

Kind regards,

The Reception Team

Week 6 Video Message

Please see our Material folders on Google Classroom for more information about the following special events which we will discuss with the children this week:

  • Safer Internet Day:  Tuesday, 9th February
  • Chinese New Year : Friday 12th February. Join our live lesson on Thursday about the Chinese New Year

Key words: Animal word lists

This task on Google Classroom is for all children to complete:

  • Children at school (tconsider it as a homework task).
  • Children at home (as part of your remote learning tasks)

This week, the key word list folders will allow you to upload a short video clip of your child reading the words, once they have learnt each word list. Only send one video clip per word list.

If your child needs more time to learn the words on any of the lists, please continue to practise and only move onto the next list when they are ready to. There is no need to rush through the lists. It is more important that your child has a secure recognition of the tricky words in different contexts. Only send a video clip, if your child is comfortable with being filmed.

If you have previously sent in a video clip of word lists being read, you will not have to resubmit.
