Week commencing Monday 26th June 2017
Our learning objectives for next week will be as follows:
Maths: we will be recapping mental strategies used for addition and subtraction and using these skills to problem solve.
Literacy: we will be completing our stories based on Oliver’s Vegetables. We will then be self and peer-assessing our work against our success criteria. I am really excited to read the stories that Hungerford Class create!
SPaG- we will be continuing to look at when to use apostrophes for possession.
Science- Our science topic this term is living things and their habitats. We will be continuing to look at how the human body works and the ways in which animals adapt to their surroundings.
Our new topic is ‘Hooray! Let’s Go On Holiday!’ which has lots of links with history, art, geography and PSHE.
PE: depending on the weather we will be doing tennis (indoors) or rounders (outdoors).
RE- we will be looking at Judaism in the summer term.
Music- Year 2 have one more Ministrings session left until their performance. They can’t wait to show off the skills they have gained this year. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
